Next.js Form Component

In this video, we explore the newly introduced form component in Next.js, a powerful tool built on top of the HTML form element. The form component simplifies client-side navigation on form submission, features automatic UI prefetching, and provides progressive enhancement. We integrate a product search feature into a web application, demonstrating how to set up a loading state, create a search component, and modify data fetching logic to filter products based on the search query. We also show how the form component supports server actions for deleting products. This video concludes with summarizing our lessons on fetching data and handling forms in Next.js.
