Taiwan earthquake: More than 130 people trapped, authorities say

More than 130 people are trapped after Taiwan's strongest earthquake in 25 years caused buildings to collapse, landslides to crash down from mountainous areas and widespread power outages.

The quake had a magnitude of 7.7, the strongest earthquake the country has faced in 25 years.

It struck just before 8am local time. Witnesses say the quake could be felt as far as Shanghai in China.
