The Basics:

Being almost 20 years old, the 100 series Land Cruiser will start showing its age. Rubber bits start to harden and deteriorate, fluids start to seep and leak.

The Problem:

After my latest adventure at cleghorn, I noticed a burning smell everytime I parked the LC. Upon further inspection it looks like the seal for the front output shaft on the transfer case started leaking.

Affected:

All 100 series Land Cruisers and LX470

Solution:

Take out the transfer case and replace the bearing and seal. (part 2 i do the bearing and seal for the rear output shaft).

Repair difficulty: 8/10

Repair time: 6 hrs
