Introducing our newest youngest rescue lion- Prince Vander 🥰

Introducing 4 month old Prince Vander 😍
This little cub was sold as a pet and was subsequently attacked by the family dog. He was rescued from the house and is being cared for by our partners overseas in a safe facility & along with two other 18 month old lions is coming to live at GG.
Also another 15 mostly quite old lions who were originally bred for the pet industry and are currently living in a closed down zoo, have also been given a chance to be brought ‘home’ to South Africa to our lion sanctuary in the biggest international rescue we have ever undertaken.
18 lions in total will be flown here and will live out the rest of their lives with us, caring for them in natural African habitat. It’s a massive undertaking but these lions need and deserve a quality life living like lions after being exploited for the lucrative pet industry. We are already building their camps and will keep you updated on the progress.
