The first foal of this year is born. How cute! The first 4 days. Friesian horses.
February 22, 2020 Sjirkje gave birth to a beautiful filly. We call her Mathilde. Named after one of the ladies of the stable. The owner of Bjarni, Skittel and Puck.
In this video you see some pictures of the first 4 days of her life.
I also take a look with my oldest son.
Because the weather is still very bad outside. Unfortunately, they are not yet able to go to pasture. During the first few days, we are also always careful with loosening in the indoor arena. The mare can be very cheerful, so she can kick the foal, for example. We therefore always wait a few days, so that the foal is stronger.
