The River Trent: From Source to Sea (2001 UK VHS)

Released by Heritage Films in 2001 in association with Burton Mail.

A tiny natural spring bubbles to the surface on Biddulph Moor above Stoke-On-Trent and gives birth to one of the mightiest rivers in the land.

Pottery, beer, lace and coal have all found their way along the Trent to far flung parts of the globe.

Saxons and Vikings have brought terror to the communities along its course and it's banks are littered with historic cities, ancient ports, thriving towns, countless picturesque villages and a host of hidden treasures that make a journey down the Trent Valley a unique experience.

The oldest man-made canal in the country, mighty castles, a mysterious ancient maze, and a amazing natural tidal wave are among the many wonders we explore, as we watch the Trent grow from a trickle to a swirling, tidal flow as it joins the Ouse to form the River Number.
