CN Jet Snow Blowers in use in the Halifax NS area
CN uses rail-mounted jet-engined blowers to move snow both in yards and on the main line in the Halifax area. The noise is almost deafening and there is a very very strong smell of kerosene. Most unpleasant. This video shows an ESSCO jet snow blower in use at three separate locations over the last 10 years.
