Copying an IFR Flight Clearance - MzeroA Flight Training

Flying IFR can be stressful, most of the stress is put on before you even leave the ground. Many of my students find copying the clearance to be one of the most difficult aspects. I find the most simple way to copy and read back an IFR clearance is to use the acronym CRAFT. Let’s examine what this means.

C – Cleared to
R – Route
A – Altitude
F – Frequency
T – Transponder code
