How to Merge Old Posts into Pillar Pages

You're cleaning up your blog and you find that you have a ton of redundant blog posts—what do you do? Well—one way you can put those old posts to work for you is by folding them together into new pillar pages.

"Pillar pages" are long-form, authoritative pieces of content that cover a topic in-depth. And they tend to rank well in search engines and pull in a TON of organic traffic. However, they're a hassle to make—especially if you're starting from scratch.

But, if you've been blogging for a while, there's a good chance you can use a lot of your old, redundant content to make those new pillar pages. You don't necessarily need to start from scratch. It's a fantastic way to clean up your blog and set yourself up for more organic traffic.
