Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! I’ve been excited seeing how receptive you all are to Sheep and Quietstar, and since they’re probably the only OCs of mine whose plot revolves around a love story I figure they’d be perfect for a Valentine’s Day video

I hope I was able to make the story at least somewhat followable, but here's the full story, for those who are curious:
Four clans are settled around a large lake in the middle of the Rockies: Caveclan, Fireclan, Timberclan, and Snowclan. In a period marred by famine, disease, extreme weather, infighting, and battle that caused great strain on the clans, Quietsong, a shy, soft-spoken, aged tom finds himself suddenly leader of Snowclan after multiple successive deaths of more capable leaders. He was a bit of an outcast in his clan, not disliked but also not popular, who never took on a mate or kits and had no close relationships. At this point, most of Snowclan feels hopeless and dejected, and sees Quietstar with at best pity and at worst contempt for his lack of leadership-like qualities. While he tries his best to save his struggling clan, a series of events including a harsh winter, prey shortages, disease, and the death of the clan’s only medicine cat, is too much, and with the loss of his final life, Snowclan falls apart and disbands. Despite the poor circumstances, Starclan blamed him for the failure to keep Snowclan together, and prohibits him from entering Starclan, leaving him to wander the territory for many moons as a ghost.

Eventually, Timberclan and Fireclan also succumb to the elements and disband (with their own final leaders left to suffer the same fate as Quietstar), leaving Caveclan alone (we don’t have time to unpack that all now, but it’s the main storyline).
Generations later, Starclan finally feels like it’s time to rebuild the three missing clans, and tasks each of the three dead leaders of Snowclan, Timberclan, and Fireclan to select and mentor a cat of their choosing to become the new leader of each clan in exchange for finally being welcomed into Starclan. Quietstar is pessimistic at the idea, but goes through with it anyway, selecting a sweet, kind-hearted former rogue named Sheep. While Sheep is initially anxious about the idea, feeling like she isn’t built to ever be a leader of anything, her optimistic and empathetic nature leads to want to help Quietstar anyway. Quietstar is still hesitant about their prospective success, but is charmed by Sheep’s enthusiasm and helps to guide her anyway, teaching her the basics of clan life. As the moons progress, Sheep manages to convince a number of cats from her former rogue colony to join Snowclan, making the dream of a renewed Snowclan that Quietstar had had little faith in a sudden ever-growing reality. The two eventually grow to be very close friends, and soon Quietstar finds himself falling in love with Sheep, but struggles to confess to her due to the whole dead ghost thing. When he finally does confess, Sheep returns his feelings, and the two become mates. However, Sheep can only see Quietstar when they are alone, which worked out fine at first, but as the clan grows it means that the two are seeing each other less and less. This makes it difficult for them to maintain their relationship as Sheep incurs more responsibilities, and tensions with the other clans heighten, but they try to make do.

Sheep, after more moons, comes to want kits, and so the two agree for Sheep to find a surrogate. While Quietstar would want to raise kits with Sheep, he can’t, but still wants Sheep to be able to be a mother if she wants to. Sheep confesses the whole situation (peppered with little white lies to make it less strange) to a clanmate, Hickoryseed, who happily agrees to surrogate her kits. Two months later, she gives birth to Nightkit, Ravenkit, and Rainkit (later Nightsong, Ravenpath, and Rainwhisper). Between her duties to her clan and raising her kits, she rarely sees Quietstar anymore, but he still watches over her and the kits.

Tensions amongst the four clans eventually boil over as the new Fireclan leader, Lynxstar, confesses to being manipulated by her mentor, Elkstar. The three other clans leaders come together and agree to forgive her and help show her the proper ways to be a leader and help save the weakening Fireclan. With this act of unity, Starclan decides to finally allow Quietstar to ascend to Starclan and gives the four new leaders their nine lives. Quietstar gives Sheep, now Sheepstar, her final life. It’s the last time the two see each other until Sheepstar eventually loses all of them, but their love stays just as strong until then.
