Billy Squier - Christmas Is A Time To Say I Love You Drum Cover

A Christmas drum cover for you all.

Not a Christmas song you often hear on stations or platforms that play Holiday songs, but I have always dug this one ever since I first saw the video on MTV way back in the day. A memorable video, it was a "live" sing along performance with the VJ's and staff of MTV at the time (1981). In fact, Martha Quinn say it was her fave moment during her time at the channel.

The B-side to My Kinda Lover, Christmas Is A Time To Say I Love You features the cool laid-back shuffle drumming of Bobby Chouinard. It took a while for me to lay back in that pocket as I have a tendency to rush through such tempos, or play way too much on top of the beat, but it was a challenge I always relish in when trying to get that feel better.

Well, here it is. A real fun one to play and my Christmas song cover for this year, even though it's been a trying year that's for sure. Hope this one can at least bring some sense of the Holidays back to you and all.
