How to wake up a 5-year-old

This is how I go about doing one of the most difficult things there is to do...get a 5-year-old to get up and moving in under 10 minutes without making her throw a tantrum.

Sometimes I employ one or two of these techniques. Sometimes it takes all of them.

Gentle persuasion, Sesame Street character/muppet impersonations, singing, and Crazy Harry eventually coax my little one out of her slumber and get her to start her day.
