ASUS ZenDrive U9M | Unboxing & Review

The ASUS ZenDrive U9M is the latest external drive for playing and burning DVD's. It features a sleek and modern design that looks great next to any new laptop. In addition to that, it also comes with two different cables! One for the normal USB 2.0 ports and the other one for the new USB-C ports. Which also makes it one of the only available external DVD drives that can be used with a USB-C as well. That makes it perfect for the owners of newer MacBooks as you don't require an extra dongle.

In terms of performance, it's no different than any of the other available drives. It has a maximum read and write speed of 8x for DVD's and 24x for CD's. In the review I have also recorded an audio sample of the noise it makes while writing discs.
