In the Doom 3 Communication Transfer level, the marine enters the UAC’s communications hub to transmit the distress signal retrieved in the EnPro Plant. The mission begins in the Satellite Control Room, where a holographic display reveals the UAC’s failed attempts to contact Earth. A critical objective involves activating the Satellite Dish to send the distress signal, but the process is disrupted by demonic interference, requiring the marine to repair damaged systems and fight through hordes of enemies.

The marine navigates through Satellite Control, Signal Processing, and Transmission Junction, battling Hell Knights—powerful, hulking demons with melee attacks and fireball projectiles. Other enemies include imps, zombies, lost souls, and wraiths, which ambush the marine in tight spaces. A holographic log from Dr. Betruger reveals his growing obsession with the "Argent Energy" project, hinting at his corruption by demonic forces. Sergeant Kelly provides mission updates via radio, urging the marine to complete the transmission, while Counselor Swann and Jack Campbell appear in brief cutscenes, foreshadowing their roles in the narrative.

The level culminates with the marine successfully transmitting the distress signal, but the UAC’s automated response confirms Earth’s fleet is already en route to Mars—unaware of the demonic invasion. This sets the stage for the game’s second half, where the marine must confront Betruger’s betrayal and the full-scale demonic invasion. Environmental storytelling, including corrupted terminals and Betruger’s logs, underscores the UAC’s catastrophic failure to contain the Hell portal, deepening the lore of the game’s escalating crisis.

The lore of Doom and its expansions, including TNT: Evilution, is centered around the UAC (Union Aerospace Corporation), a powerful and secretive organization that conducts research in various fields, including teleportation and advanced weapons development. In TNT: Evilution, the UAC has established a research facility on Mars, where they are conducting experiments in teleportation. However, something goes wrong, and the experiments open a gateway to Hell, releasing an army of demons and other monsters onto the Mars base.

The player takes on the role of a space marine, known as the Doomguy, who is sent to the Mars base to investigate the disturbance. As they progress through the levels, they encounter hordes of demons and other monsters, including imps, cacodemons, and hell knights. The player must fight their way through the base, navigating maze-like corridors and industrial complexes, to reach the exit and progress to the next level.
Throughout the game, the player discovers clues and messages that hint at the UAC's experiments and the true nature of the forces they have unleashed. The player must ultimately confront the source of the invasion and stop it from spreading to Earth.

Why does Doom 3 suck so good? It still looks amazing 19 years later. In this game play I got BFG pretty early. So, final question - Is DOOM 3 BFG Edition WORSE Than The Original?! Let's find out!
