Cricut Maker 3: Should you upgrade to the Cricut Maker 3?

- The Cricut Maker 3 is a LOT faster. Maybe even more than twice as fast at cutting non-Smart Vinyl and Infusible Ink sheets. We are currently trying heavier things (including chipboard, felt, thin aluminum, and denim) next. Will update with results.
- It seems to have a quieter motor or transport mechanism. Not that the prior version was too loud, but we thought the new model was noticeably more quiet.
- Smart Vinyl capability has been added to the Cricut Maker 3, enabling you to cut up to about 12 feet long strips. That's great for long and narrow banners, wall words, room borders, racing stripes for cars, and other things we have no double you'll dream up. You can still use 3rd party vinyl of up to 24" in length with your existing mats. Smart Vinyl requires no mat.
