This video shows an excavator using a rotating grapple to remove dense vegetation in a single lift. The ability to grab irregular vegetation makes it effective in overgrown, unmanaged areas.
If the grapple grabs too shallow, roots may break and remain underground, leading to regrowth. Excessive force can also damage surrounding soil structure or nearby plants that should be preserved. Operators must control grip strength and angle carefully to avoid scattering debris unpredictably.
At first glance, it looks like the machine is just lifting a pile of plants, but it is actually removing the entire root network hidden beneath the surface.
This approach shows how combining grip, rotation, and lifting force can turn a complex clearing job into a single, efficient motion.
