To capture the "liquid" piano writing of the 1891 original, this arrangement focuses on cross-string resonance and melodic projection:

The "Flowing" Voice: The Tenor Saxophone melody is placed in its most expressive "vocal" register. The arrangement encourages a breathy, legato approach to Satie’s winding lines, allowing the saxophone to act as a singer.

Harp-like Arpeggios: The guitar part is designed with shimmering, cross-string arpeggios that mimic the sustain pedal of a piano. By utilizing open strings, the guitar creates a lush, resonant bed for the saxophone to float over.

Atmospheric Freedom: As with all Gnossiennes, the score is unbarred. This version encourages the duo to find a natural, breathing rubato that mimics the movement of water.
