July 2019. Cairo, Illinois. Situated at the confluence of the Mississippi River and the Ohio River, at the southernmost point in Illinois. Summer high water from continuing flooding on both rives causing bridge closures and hundreds of barges stalled. Corner of three states Kentucky, Missouri and Illinois.
