Flying Whales - Gojira - Guitar Cover [HQ]

A cover of 'Flying Whales' by Gojira.

Tuning: D standard

This one proved a little more of a challenge because of the length and getting everything as clean as possible. Usual double tracking as well as a few more layers here and there. The slightly driven guitars just had the gain rolled back a bit on a crunch channel. There are definitely some fantastic Gojira riffs in this one!

The usual double tracking with the great LePou 456 amp and a mixture of Marshal and Diezel impulses. It's subtle but there's also some use of the JST widener plugin.

Gear used; My trusty Dean Cadillac Select as always, into a UA-25EX hooked up to Logic X.

Signal Chain;

TSB-1 Tyrant, Noise Gate, Le456 amp sim, LeCab with a combination of God's cab, Marshall and Diezel Impulses, Stereo Tape delay set to 0 delay so that it acts as tape saturation, and finally a bit of subtractive EQ to just tidy up the sound a bit as always.
