Humpty Dumpty is a character in an English nursery rhyme, probably originally a riddle and one of the best known in the English-speaking world. Nobody knows exactly who or what Humpty Dumpty was. The rhyme was first printed in 1810 and became famous through Lewis Caroll's book, 'Alice Through the Looking Glass', where Humpty Dumpty is shown as a round egg. Humpty Dumpty was a common "nickname", used in 15th century England and the term was also used as a slang to describe a large, dull person. Exactly like an egg, if such a clumsy person would fall down from a wall, this would be an irremediable thing.

The Humpty Dumpty song is one of those nursery rhymes that you want your kids to hear because it can teach them a great deal. You can use Humpty Dumpty lyrics to show you kids the meaning of life. Lessons in life are good for children and they get some important ones in Humpty Dumpty.

Children will learn that anyone can have a downfall, but how they choose to behave afterwards decide their success in life. If we learn from our failures and rise up to start again, nothing can stop us.

Kids will also learn that its not safe to play near heights and that one should always be careful and not risk their safety. Being clumsy like Humpty may cause problems, so it's better to be safe than sorry.
