This idea came from Rob Bob (https://www.youtube.com/user/bnbob01), but he attributes the idea to others before him.

We are using a large 30 gallon trash can to make an automatic chicken and duck feeder for our poultry. It is easy to make and works great.

I used the least expensive trash can available, six 3" pipe elbows and six 3" pipe end caps.

Roughly speaking, one 50 lb sack is 10 US Gal of volume, and in-fact this 30 gallon trash can does hold three 50 pound sacks of feed.

Of course, you can still use this idea whether you want to use a 5 lb bucket or an even larger container - it should work just as well.
