Here I present an album, published in Stockholm in 1905, Showing the main sights of Kiev in the form in which they had in the late XIX and early XX century. During this period in time the Russian Empire was in a rapid stage of industrialization, and Kiev became a major commercial and transportation centre. Many noteworthy monuments, as well as educational and cultural institutions of the city belong to this period and are pictured here. Unfortunately Kiev was devastated during the Great Patriotic War and many of these historic places were destroyed……
