Machu Picchu, Peru (2022)

Larry and Angela visit Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu, Peru (March 2022). Travel to Aguas Calientes was by bus and train ("bimodal") from Cusco. The many restaurants and cafes of this small, relaxed town are very enjoyable. We hired a local guide from the bus stop before heading up to Macchu Picchu. (Consider dramamine for the half-hour of switchbacks on the bus.) Low, wispy clouds gave the mountains and the ruins a mystical feel. A wonderful excursion!
