ABOUT: John Ingle, MD has established the URMC Voice Center to provide the special care needed by vocal performers and professional voice users. He works closely in a multidisciplinary team with vocologists, speech pathologists, and singing voice specialists, to provide comprehensive care of the voice, including voice therapy, respiratory retraining therapy, and cough-suppression therapy. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque in 2011. Dr. Ingle completed a two-year fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center. He received his MD from Boston University in 2006. He is a Post-Graduate member of the prestigious American Laryngologic Association. His research endeavors involve better understanding of cortical control of the larynx, advanced clinical and research use of laryngeal electromyography, and neurologic disorders that affect voice, breathing and swallowing.
