There's nothing more exciting than taking a flat surface and giving it the life of mountainous terrain. In this video we discuss and demonstrate various techniques used to create land forms, hills and terrain as it relates to model railroads and our current display layout. In our sidetracked segment we take a look at D-LOC's YouTube channel where you can find videos from various European train shows and meets. Lots of great modeling presented here.

With some much needed humor, we cover a variety of interesting topics related scenery terrain.

Great Model Railway Exhibition 2016 in Leuven (Belgium).

This exhibition takes place every two years in October and is organized by Meta Media Group, this is the publisher of Belgiums biggest model railroad magazine "Modelspoor Magazine (in Dutch)/Train Miniature Magazine (in French)"
The exhibition is combined with the judging of the mini-layout competition by both visitors and jury. The final results of the participants who managed to complete the mini-layout before closing date can be seen in this video: https://youtu.be/gnOncWtlnDA

On traXS! takes place every year in March. This is probably one of the best model railway exhibitions in Europe, high quality layouts in a perfect atmosphere!

On traXS! 2017 will take place on 10-11-12 March 2017 at the Dutch Railway Museum in Utrecht.

Expo Trains Luxembourg is a somewhat smaller exhibition compared to the other two but it has some nice layouts.
Because of the smaller size of this exhibition I had the time to take some pictures too. Normally all my time is consumed by filming the layouts.
This exhibition takes place every year in November, this year it was this weekend (12 and 13 November).
