Gazzarri Dancer June Fairchild on Hollywood-A-Go-Go (1965-66)

This is a montage of selected clips featuring June Fairchild as a "Gazzarri Dancer" on the syndicated TV show Hollywood-A-Go-Go during 1965-66, hosted by Sam Riddle. These clips display some of her dance talent, beauty, personality, charm, sense of humor, playfulness, energy, and hair flipping. At that time her name was June Wilson.

A nice web page with information on her history is at gazzarridancers.com/junewilsonfairchild.html

Gossip Note for 0:27: In her autobiography, June wrote about meeting Danny Hutton prior to taping his performance on Hollywood A Go-Go, and she wrote that it was "love at first sight". She is dancing in the foreground while he is lip-syncing his song behind her. She does seem rather happy here.

Fad Dance Note for 1:05: In the Peter and Gordon clip, Mimi and June are doing their "Statue" fad dance, which they originated on the show. Gordon seems rather entertained by June here. The Tommy Sands record ("The Statue") about this dance was also performed on the show and can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Opy0Citsjo

Many people remember June as the facially expressive Ajax lady in Cheech & Chong's "Up In Smoke" movie, filmed over a decade later.
