Best Camping In New Jersey Swartswood State Park

Best camping in New Jersey is at Swartswood State Park. Come spend the weekend with us for some of "New Jersey camping at its best." We take you camping with the Tear Jerkers NJ Chapter. This amazing campground has a 519 acre lake (electric motor only boats) kayaks and canoes can launch and explore with year round fishing and beach area. Though at this time there is no swimming due to an algae bloom. There are hiking trails that are a great way to explore the area around the lake. We take a great hike with the Tear Jerkers and later explore one of the local breweries Angry Eriks for a taste of the award winning brews. While at Eriks we follow our group out to explore and try our hand at geocaching, a first for us. This app based "treasure hunt" led us down a great trail to our discovery a short distance from the brewery. We has a great time hanging out with our fellow teardrop camper folks and made some friendships that will continue through our camping journey. We highly recommend Swartswood State Park for some great "dry camping".
