'alterum' started life as a project exploring Gaelic songs of the ‘otherworld’ or the supernatural. Traditional songs deeply rooted in superstition and legend. Supernatural beliefs seamlessly intertwined with the natural world and the present.

The record has evolved around the idea of the ‘other’ - the otherworld, other places, other languages, other traditions. Celebrating your own
culture whilst also reaching out to others.
