21 Popular Real Estate Agent Tax Deductions For 2020 And Beyond

In today's episode, we are going to cover 21 real estate agent tax deductions, some often overlooked.

Many real estate agents end up in this business as their second, third, or even fourth career. Very often, this is the first time someone has earned independent contractor income.

There are many benefits to this as deductions can often help you keep more of your money. However, it comes at the cost of being well informed about what can and cannot be deducted.

Deduct too much and your audit risk and income for future loans goes down, deduct too little and you're leaving money on the table that could have been saved and invested.

I'm going to cover 21 of my real estate agent tax deductions that I've learned over course of my 11 years in the business.

I'm by no means a CPA, nor do I attempt to play one on YouTube. This is merely what I've found through years of research, discussion with my CPA, and listening to other real estate agents. I recommend you discuss ALL of the strategies I cover with your CPA before filing your taxes.
