How to clean the EGR valve on a 1997 F-150 P0401

Learn how to diagnose this after getting a P0401 code. It is recommended to replace these parts one at a time, the shop says to change all 3 but they are not cheap and their are many knockoffs but i don't now their reliability. Check the vacuum lines especially the rubber elbows. You can remove the intake tube and open the throttle plate and see if the holes are clogged with carbon.
