Learning New Knitting Techniques & First Knitalong!!!

Making hats has helped me with learning new knitting techniques so many times! In 2021, I have a few techniques I want to learn and I thought it would be great to learn along with everyone else! In this video, I talk about why knitting hats is a great way to go about learning new knitting techniques and announce my first knitalong (starting Feb 6, 2021 and running through March 20, 2021).
#LevelUpIn2021KAL #Knitalong #HatKnitting

To participate in the knitalong, you will (1) knit a hat using a new-to-you technique so that you can level up your skills. Then, (2) Post about your hat on Instagram and use the hashtag #LevelUpIn2021KAL! Also, please do tag me so I can be sure to see your picture as well :-)

Post as many times as you want, and WIPS do count! The most important part is that you learn something new! Be sure to follow the hashtag in order to see other people's projects so you can encourage them and help if they need questions!

To get all the latest information on the knitalong (including further ways to participate), sign up for my newsletter and follow me on Instagram:

The pattern suggestion bundle can be found on Ravlery at the link below and will continue to be updated.

Contained in the bundle are suggestions for stranded colorwork, mosaic colorwork, steeking, duplicate stitch, lace, cables, brioche, fisherman's rib, intarsia, and a pattern with a sewn in lining!

In this video, I am wearing the Sumac Glass Hat by Tommy Schafer. It can be found in Ravelry bundle and utilizes stranded colorwork.
