What’s happening in this Goosebumps 2 movie clip?
Sonny's mother (Wendi McLendon-Covey de Bridesmaids) is with Slappy. She carries him on her lap, which terrifies Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor from It), Sam (Caleel Harris from Think Like a Man) and Sarah (Madison Iseman from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) when they walk into the living room and see her. She thinks she's just a dummy. When she goes to take a phone call, Slappy starts talking to them, so Sonny decides to recite the sentence to stop it. He pronounces it twice, and it seems to work, but when they get closer to check, Slappy opens its eyes and threatens them. When Kathy comes back, and realizes that they are still convinced the puppet is alive, she gets angry.

What’s the Goosebumps 2 movie about?
Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor from It) and Sam (Caleel Harris from Think Like a Man) are best friends. One day, while picking up trash, they meet Slappy, a mischievous talking puppet, straight out of an unpublished book by R.L. Stine (Jack Black from Jumanji and The Holiday). Hoping to start his own family, Slappy kidnaps Sonny's mother (Wendi McLendon-Covey from Bridesmaids) and brings all his gruesome friends back to life, just in time for Halloween. As the sleepy town gradually swarms with monsters, Sonny, his sister (Madison Iseman from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Sam and a nice neighbor join forces to save Sonny's mother and thwart Slappy's plan.
