Barnaby Joyce warns Israel-Hamas conflict could turn into 'possible nuclear war'
Former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce says if the Israel-Hamas conflict expands to a regional war, it will “blow up for all of us”.
“Hamas needs to be dealt with and dealt with severely, no one is arguing about that,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“We’ve got to understand if this turns into a wider engagement … Iran comes in and the response there, we’re talking about possible nuclear war.
“Nobody wants that.”
Mr Joyce’s comments come after October 7 when Israel declared war on the Palestinian terrorist group after Hamas fired thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv.
