FIRST DAY IN MARRAKESH – Moroccan Riad, Food & Medina

After exploring Cape Town, South Africa, we flew to Marrakesh, Morocco!

During our first day, we settled into our beautiful home for the week, the Riad Amira, which is located in the Kasbah of Marrakech’s Medina. Everything was very walkable since we were in the Old City.

During our first full day, we woke up to a delicious and free (or included) breakfast in the courtyard of our riad.

Afterwards, we ventured out to the Souks and Jemma El-Fna square for lunch. We ate at Café Chez ZaZa, wich was DELICIOUS and very affordable for what you get! Sitting on the rooftop provided a nice retreat from the hectic Souks and streets of Marrakech.

We explored the main square for a bit, then went back to our riad for some down time. Then, we wrapped up our day by eating dinner at the Kasbah Café.
