सत्यवादी राजा हरिश्चंद्र की कहानी | Story of Raja Harishchandra

This video features the Story of Raja Harishchandra, who is known for his integrity. He was the son of the famous Suryavanshi King Satyavrat of Ayodhya. He only supported the truth, whatever the case be. Due to this loyalty, he faced many problems, but he did not leave his path of truth. Harishchandra's integrity was well known all around, and sage Vishwamitra decided to test it. In this test, Harishchandra sells himself, but doesn't divert from his path of truth & integrity.

One night King Harishchandra had a dream in which a Brahmin arrives in his palace and the he honors him. Harishchandra honors the Brahmin, and gives him his Kingdom, in charity. When Harishchandra woke up from sleep, he had forgotten his dream. The next day, sage Vishwamitra arrived in his court. He reminded the King about the donation of the Kingdom in his dream. When King Harishchandra understood that he was a Brahmin Vishwamitra, he donated his Kingdom to him, as per his dream. After donating, there was the practice of giving Dakshina, and Vishwamitra asked for Dakshina from Raja Harishchandra in Dakshina.Harishchandra, who had already donated his secret text to the sage, asked his minister to bring the gold currency from the Monetary Fund. But Vishwamitra reminds him that after donating, the Kingdom is now his. The King realized this, and is worried about how to give Dakshina now. On not receiving Dakshina, Vishwamitra also spoke of cursing the King. Harishchandra was a true priest of religion and truth, in such a situation, he would have committed unrighteousness for not offering him Dakshina. Then Harishchandra decided that he would sell himself and with the sum he would receive, he would pay the Dakshina to the sage. With this hope, he sold himself to a Chandal in Kashi, and Chandal paid the sage his price. Subsequently, Raja Harishchandra started residing in a crematorium. In his life, Harishchandra faced many heartbreaking situations. At times, he felt disconnected from his family, but he never renounced his path of truth. यह कहानी है सत्यवादी राजा हरिश्चंद्र की, जिन्हें उनकी सत्यनिष्ठा के लिए आज भी जाना जाता है. राजा हरिश्चंद्र हर हाल में केवल सच का ही साथ देते थे. अपनी इस निष्ठा की वजह से कई बार उन्हें, बड़ी-बड़ी परेशानियों का सामना भी करना पड़ा, लेकिन उन्होंने सच का साथ, नहीं छोड़ा. एक बार जो प्रण वे ले लेते थे, उसे किसी भी कीमत पर, पूरा करके ही छोड़ते थे. राजा हरिश्चंद्र की सत्यनिष्ठा की ख्याति, चारों ओर फैली हुई थी, ऐसे में ऋषि विश्वामित्र ने उनकी परीक्षा लेने का निश्चय किया. उसी रात राजा हरिश्चंद्र ने एक सपना देखा, जिसमें उनके राजभवन में, एक तेजस्वी ब्राह्मण आते है, और राजा उन्हें आदर से बैठाते हैं. राजा उन ब्राह्मण का आदर-सत्कार करते हैं, और उन्हें अपना राज्य, दान में दे देते हैं. राजा हरिश्चंद्र जब, नींद से जागे, तो वे अपना सपना भूल चुके थे. अगले दिन उनके दरबार में ऋषि विश्वामित्र आ गए. उन्होंने सपने में राज्य दान की बात, राजा को याद दिलाई. जब राजा हरिश्चंद्र को समझ आया कि वो ब्राह्मण विश्वामित्र ही थे, तो उन्होंने अपना राज्य उनको दान में दे दिया. दान देने के बाद, दक्षिणा देने की प्रथा थी, तो विश्वामित्र ने राजा हरिश्चंद्र से ५०० स्वर्ण मुद्राएं दक्षिणा में मांग लीं. राजा हरिश्चंद्र, पहले ही अपना राज पाठ ऋषि को दान दे चुके थे, इस बात को भूलकर, उन्होंने अपने मंत्री से मुद्रा कोष से स्वर्ण मुद्रा लाने को कहा. लेकिन विश्वामित्र ने उन्हें याद दिलाया, कि दान में देने के बाद अब राज्य उनका हो चुका है. राजा को इस बात का ऐहसास हुआ, और उन्हें चिंता हुई कि अब दक्षिणा कैसे दी जाए. दक्षिणा न मिलने पर, विश्वामित्र ने राजा को श्राप देने की बात भी कही. राजा हरिश्चंद्र, धर्म और सत्य के सच्चे पुजारी थे, ऐसे में दक्षिणा न देने पर, उनसे अधर्म हो जाता. आगे क्या हुआ, जानने के लिए ज़रूर देखें ..
