On New Year’s Eve 2022, I witnessed a Toronto police officer disrespecting a homeless man in line for food. I confronted her, and what happened next set off a chain of corruption and retaliation that nearly destroyed my life.

I was falsely arrested, misidentified as someone with outstanding warrants, and later charged with three criminal offences — including threatening to kill a police officer — for a phone call that never existed. My phone was seized and searched, and I was forced to fight for my freedom under completely baseless allegations.
