Since the first Catholic church was erected in China in 1299, the Church there has passed through eras of both success and struggle. In this lecture, Dr. John Lindblom shall explore how China's missionaries and martyrs planted seeds of faith that continue to grow, even amidst current challenges

Instructor:
John Lindblom received his Ph.D. in World Religions World Church from the theology department at the University of Notre Dame, and M.A. in China Studies at the Henry M. Jackson School at the University of Washington. He has studied the Catholic Church in China for over twenty years, worked and studied in mainland China, and conducted research in Taiwan and Hong Kong. His research and publication topics include the work of Chinese scholar of law and Bible translator John C. H. Wu, human rights, and recent challenges facing Catholics in China.
