1. Long Actions Continuing Now
An action that started in the past and hasn't stopped yet.
Example: "I have been waiting for the bus for 20 minutes." (And I'm still standing here!)
2. Recent Actions with Visible Results
The action might have just finished, but you can see the evidence.
Example: "His eyes are red because he has been playing video games all night."
3. Temporary Habits
Something you don't usually do, but you've been doing lately.
Example: "I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee lately to finish this project."
⚠️ The "Golden Rule" (Common Mistake)

You cannot use Stative Verbs (verbs of feeling/thinking/owning) with this tense.
Wrong: "I have been knowing him for years." ❌
Right: "I have known him for years." ✅ (Present Perfect Simple)
