Thomas Blug has been a guitarist in demand for some years, and since 2004 he has held the “Strat King of Europe” title. However, Blug isn’t just a great guitarist, but is also an amp designer who has built a range of tube pedals, transistor and modelling amps too. Many live artists use a range of different studio and stage equipment, and sometimes it can be tiresome transporting it from one place to the next. Thomas Blug is well acquainted with playing live on stage, so he decided to come up with a modern boutique amp that was smaller than anything previously seen, but that would also not compromise on the tonal quality that he is used to. The BluGuitar Amp 1 Nanotube amplifier achieves this effectively.

COMPACT SIZE

The Amp 1 weighs in at just 1.2kg and is small enough to fit in your gig bag, so wherever you are it can always travel with you. This nanotube amplifier also fits snugly on either a speaker cabinet or on a pedalboard, thus making your stage setup much tidier with fewer stray cables. This makes assembling and taking down before and after the gig a more straightforward process.

FOUR FANTASTIC CHANNELS

Thomas Blug and the team carefully chose four adaptable channels for the Amp 1, one clean, and three different overdrive channels offering vintage, modern and classic sounds. The Amp 1 also includes built-in boost and reverb channels and a 3-band tone control on an easy to read layout. On the side of the Amp 1 are custom controls which relate to each of the four channels which gives them their own individual, unique character. Whether you play rock (classic or metal), jazz or blues, the Amp 1 covers a huge tonal range that you will fall in love with.

POWERFUL OUTPUT

The BluGuitar Amp 1 Nanotube Amplifier has up to a 100 watt output via either the 8 ohm or 16 ohm input jacks for outstanding Speaker Simulation. Furthermore, you can plug in your headphones while you practice or alternately use the same jack to plug in studio equipment when you’re ready to record.

There is an additional jack where you can plug in any typical footswitch so you can change between boost, overdrive or clean tones. A significant feature of the Amp 1 has to be the ability to save your preferred sound combinations via the preset button, and they will then be available to switch to using the three integrated buttons at the bottom of the Amp 1.
