Discovering the romantic Lake ORTA (Italy)- My pictures

Hello my friends!
The beautiful Lake Orta is located in Piedmont Region, in Northern Italy, just near the largest and most famous Lake Maggiore.
Lake Orta is an authentic gem, set in a fantastic landscape of green hillls that culminate in Mottarone Mount (1.491 mt).
It's considered one of the most romantic Italian lakes because of its unique charm, the beauty of the natural location and the picturesque villages that overlook it shores.
Orta is the greatest of these villages and one of the most beautiful in Italy.
It's really amazing to walk among its narrow alleys, the elegant arcades, the ancient villas, the enchanting, small frescoed churches , with the look that peeps at wonderful views of the lake...
From the main, cozy square of Orta, the boats leaving to go around the lake or, in few minutes, reaching the nearby little and ancient island of Orta San Giulio, that rises in the middle of the lake like a precious gem, making this glimpse of the lake absolutely unique and breathtaking.
As soon as you arrive you'll be greeted by a majestic staircase that will take you right in front of the Romanesque Basilica of San Giulio.
Then, you'll can follow the "meditation road", a circular road that runs along the entire island, where you can surely find perfect corners surrounded by an incredible sense of peace, in a spectacular mix of ancient architecture and spirituality.
As always in Italy, you'll certainly find some good places to have a break and taste the local cuisine and picturesque craft shops where you can buy a souvenir of this beautiful place.
This is my story in pictures of a day spent in this unique corner of Italy.
