Czech Republic: Three dead and several injured after tornado wreaks havoc in South Moravia

Three people died and dozens were injured according to authorities after a severe storm inclusive of a tornado hit the South Moravian region, devastating several villages in the area on Thursday.

Settlements including Moravska Nova Ves and Hrusky were left in ruins with destroyed houses, bashed in rooftops, battered cars, and torn out trees.

Thunderstorm with massive hailstones were accompanied by the tornado in the area.

Reports stated that dozens were injured, but rubble is being combed in search of more casualties.

The storm has caused an extensive power outage, with collapsed power lines, causing traffic interruptions on connecting motorways.
