Hard to believe, that we may never see this beauty run again. What a shame.

Turn up the volume and just listen. You can hear 1218 on the east side of the tunnel, and the change of sound the instant it enters the bore. The smoke pours out the portal as N&W 2-6-6-4 Class A #1218 blast out into the daylight unassisted with a long, sold out excursion passenger train. We get a short toot with the N&W hooter whistle. Again, Its a shame what NS has done to this poor girl.. Thanks for watching...
