Lost swan given a helping hand

At this time of year, young swans are being chased off by their parents to make way for the next generation. Sometimes these youngsters end up landing somewhere they can't take off from and need a helping hand to get back to the skies!

This young mute swan had been found walking down a main road before a member of the public corralled it into a garden. Swans need room to get into the air and this one had nowhere to go.

Simon set off to help and quickly had it contained. It was only a short drive to the nearest body of water and the swan was soon back where it belonged :)
