Memories of the Edmund Fitzgerald - When the story broke

It was local radio station WSMM-FM, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan that broke the story of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior, November 10, 1975.

On the 45th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald the News Director of WSMM-FM in the small Upper Peninsula town of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan tells his story of that tragic day. This is his first hand account and a tribute to those 29 lost lives.
