THE BEST SHOTS IN MUSIC VIDEO HISTORY

On August 1st, 1981, the now popular broadcasting studio, MTV, aired their first ever music video. The Buggles' VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR began a new era for music, television, and film.

A compilation edit of the ~80 best shots ever achieved, according to my research and personal biases, in Music Video History.

I'd love to know which are your favorites! Both in the edit and ones I've missed. I've always felt that music videos are the cornerstone of inspiration and experimentation in the film world, so I felt that they were owed some respect.

(Please note: A lot of the clips differ heavily in resolution from one another due to the nature of their releases. I apologize in advance for the numerous jumps in quality.)
