Anzac Day gives Australians ‘a chance to reflect and think outside of ourselves’
Shadow Infrastructure Minister Bridget McKenzie says Anzac Day gives Australians a chance to “reflect and think outside of ourselves”.
Australians have gathered around the nation to honour those who have served.
Ms McKenzie said the day allows Australians to reflect on how the selflessness of veterans can be emulated.
“It’s so quintessentially Australian,” she told Sky News Australia.
“Now that remembrance is done – everyone can get to their local RSL, have a beer and some two-up.”
