I traveled to Loch Lomond a beautiful location. It was there I first encountered midges... I have heard about the tiny biting insects for years... but now I can speak of them with experience. Although their bite has nothing on the American mosquito, they are still worrisome little pest.

Still midges cannot overwhelm the beauty of Scotland.
