These creatures can grow to 5 centimeters (2 inches) long, and they have one of the most painful stings in the entire world. And by the way, they can fly 40 kilometers per hour (25mph)!

This is just lovely. There are a lot of different types of fungus in the world, but not many that can take over an animal’s mind. Usually found in the tropics, such as the rainforests of Brazil, Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, also known as the zombie-ant fungus infects the body and takes over the ant’s mind. Other varieties will take over all kinds of bugs from beetles to tarantulas. The fungus literally transforms the creatures from the inside out.

Lots of people are scared of spiders!! A major fear is minding your own business, taking a walk, and walking through a giant spider web!! With spiders in it!! So imagine the horror when someone who fears arachnids finds out that in places like Australia and New Zealand there are entire fields covered in spiders and spider webs.
