Episode 65 - Do Heated Socks REALLY work? Battery Operated Heated Socks Review

Growing up, I have always suffered from cold feet. No matter if I turn up the heat in my house, wear super thick thermal socks or whatever....my feet always seem to be cold. The only remedy I had found prior was to run my feet in some hot water or go for a dip in my hot tub.

About 10 years ago, I purchased some heated socks but they ran off a large D battery and only lasted about one hour and didn't really work that well at all. Plus, having the heavy D size battery on the top of the sock, made it quickly fall down around my ankle.

Well after some time, I decided to search Amazon and see if there had been any advancements in heated sock technology. Luck would have it, there was quite a selection to choose from. I ended up going with MISBEST brand as they were only $29.99 and had very good reviews. Plus the heated coils were located under the foot rather than on top of the foot like other brands were showing.

First off, the socks are quite comfortable even without the heat turned on. They are almost knee high and fit my large size 14 foot.

They run off three AA batteries. I decided to go with Amazon Basics rechargeable AA batteries as I knew I would be using these things quite often.

These heated socks operate for about 3-4 hours when turned on. They really do get my feet warm even if they are ice cold. However, it can sometimes take up to 30 minutes for the socks to reach their full output heat power. And then it takes about another 15 minutes for them to heat my ice cold feet. But once they are warm, they keep my feet nice and comfy for the rest of the evening.

I plan to use these heated socks almost daily throughout the winter months. While out snowboarding in the mountains and any other time my feet just aren't cooperating.

If you suffer from cold feet syndrome, I highly recommend getting some electric heated socks and getting rechargeable batteries to go along with them.
