The FBI's Most Damaging Spy Was an FBI Agent

Robert Hanssen spent twenty-five years at the FBI — most of it spying for Russia. He sold roughly six thousand classified documents and the identities of US double agents, three of whom were executed. The FBI found him by paying seven million dollars to a Russian intelligence officer for one file. Inside was proof their mole hunter was the mole.
